One week after Nigeria Customs Service complied with the Presidential directive to reopen the Illela land border with Niger Republic, the government of Niger reciprocated by opening their border in Konni for operations on Friday afternoon.
According to Nuhu Samaila, a source from Konni, Niger Republic, the border officially reopened at 12pm, a move praised by locals and seen as a positive step toward boosting the economy of both nations.
