Nigeria Ranks Third In Africa’s Largest Naval Fleet

According to the 2024 Global Fire Power ranking, Nigeria occupies the third position amongst African countries with the largest number of naval fleets, at 133 ships. This demonstrates Nigeria’s determination to protect its seas, advance its economy, and ensure regional peace.

The organization’s rankings are based on warships, submarines, and other naval forces owned by each nation. The rankings are as follows:

  • – Algeria: 1st, with 213 vessels
  • – Egypt: 2nd, with 140 vessels
  • – Nigeria: 3rd, with 133 vessels
  • – Morocco: 4th, with 121 naval ships
