Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has taken aim at his colleague Blaqbonez, urging him to stop referring to himself as Nigeria’s top rapper.
In a recent interview on Jusmen 105.7, the Declan Rice crooner responded to his ongoing clash with Blaqbonez, which intensified after Blaqbonez appeared to take shots at him in his latest track Who’s Really Rapping, featuring A-Q.
Odumodublvck argued that Blaqbonez’s claims were not only exaggerated but also disrespectful to the legacy of prominent rappers in Nigeria.
“It’s not a joke to call yourself the best rapper in Nigeria,” he said. “You’re not. M.I. is the best, Vector is the best. If you were truly the best, you would have won Best Rap Album at the Headies. You didn’t even get a nomination for Best Rap Single.”
He added that he would never rate himself above legends like Phyno, Olamide, M.I., Vector, Modenine, Ghost, and Tec, all of whom have significantly contributed to the growth of Nigerian hip-hop.
“For me to say I’m the best rapper, I must have earned that. But if you haven’t, stop saying it. It’s irritating. You could get slapped for that kind of nonsense,” he said bluntly.
Odumodublvck concluded by accusing Blaqbonez of misleading young fans with empty titles.
“Stop deceiving the youth with claims of being the best. Nobody’s saying you’re not good — you are. But don’t let your insecurity block opportunities for others,” he said.
