Opeyemi Ajakaye did put in an impressive performance for the Flamingos in their battle for third place in the U-17 Women’s World Cup in India on Sunday.
Ajakaye scored the first goal for Flamingos to put them in the lead, in the tournament. Bello doubled Flamingo’s lead in the 48th minute with a beautiful header.
Etim fired another shot into the goal to make it 3-0 for the Flamingos.
This didn’t deter Germany, as Jella Viet scored for Germany in the 73rd minute, Platinor doubled the goal for Germany, and Bender finally equalized for Germany in the 90th minute making it 3-3.
The game finally resulted in penalties, as Germany missed three of their efforts, while Flamingos saved one of their efforts.
