Ogun State Police Command Promises to Arrest Portable with Force

In a statement on Wednesday by Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Spokesperson of the Ogun state police Command, Nigerian street singer, Habeeb Okikiola, Popularly known as Portable has been given a 72 hours ultimatum to report himself to the nearest police station or he will be arrested on Friday.

This is due to the videos that circulated where Portable was seen cursing policemen sent to arrest him after he did not honor any of their five invitees. In the video, portable was seen shouting at the police officers, saying that a fraudster had brought them to his office to arrest him.

According to the Ogun state police Command, Portable was invited five times, after a studio owner reported that Portable alongside his sides beat him to a stupor and locked up his studio.

The statement also said that Portable has b asked to turn himself in or face the wrath of the Ogun state police force on Friday, seeing that his father has begged them and that he’ll make sure he turns himself in on time

Oyeyemi said, “On receiving the petition, an invitation letter was sent to him five times but he refused to appear at the police station. Again, an invitation letter was sent to him through his father; he still did not come to the station.

“The police did not want a breakdown of law and order so his arrest was to be effected on Tuesday and now he started with all series of videos, saying all sorts of things. His father has been begging but we have told him that if he (Portable) refuses to turn himself in between now and Friday, he will be arrested.”

Nigerians have bashed the police force over the issue, as many said that who is Portable that the whole Ogun state police force has to beg him to turn himself in, this shows how pathetic and pitiable the Nigerian police force is.
