The final match of the World Cup in Qatar will have a Polish official as the referee.
Assistant coaches Pawel Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz will be working alongside the 41-year-old head coach, who made his first appearance at the FIFA World Cup in 2014.
The late Micha Listkiewicz, Listkiewicz’s father, served as a referee at the FIFA World Cup final in 1990 as well as the FIFA World Cup in 1994.
Marciniak has already officiated matches that involved both of the nations that will compete in the championship, namely Argentina’s victory over Australia in the round of 16 and France’s triumph over Denmark in the group stage.
