Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has responded to US President Donald Trump’s recent threat to intervene militarily in Nigeria if attacks on Christians persist.
During a TikTok live session with a Nigerian-born US soldier, Portable cautioned that foreign forces should not underestimate the country.

“If US soldiers invade Nigeria, they won’t go back home. You see all those Boko Haram people you’re hearing about? They are people’s fathers, brothers, and husbands. Most of them joined because of hunger,” he said.
The Zazuu Zeh crooner also claimed that insurgent groups operating in Nigeria have “sponsors among the elites,” both locally and internationally, implying that tackling terrorism is far more complex than it appears.
Portable’s remarks have since gone viral, sparking a mix of reactions online, with many Nigerians responding humorously to his bold statements.
