Hector David Jr., star of Power Rangers Samurai, has been sentenced to 180 days in jail after attacking an elderly man in a heated confrontation back in July 2024. The 33-year-old actor pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery after shoving a man on a walker to the ground in a Nampa, Idaho parking lot.
Judge Matthew B. Schelstrate meted out the sentence Wednesday, with 135 days suspended, so that David will actually spend only 45 days in prison if he doesn’t have any further misbehavior. He also was ordered to do 100 hours of community service and two years of supervised probation.
The incident reportedly began as an argument over a parking space, with things escalating as David violently pushed the elderly man down and then made his getaway in his truck. Police issued a warrant for his arrest shortly after; he was finally apprehended, tried, and convicted.
The shockingly aggressive incident has indeed stained the actor’s record, while the court, during sentencing, did mention how the failure on his part could result in the full serving of jail time.
