Imo state has been in turmoil for the past two weeks over the activities of members of the Ebubeagu security outfit, just last week armed men suspected to be members of this said group accosted and killed 14 wedding guests returning from a wedding in a neighboring town.

The angry youth took the corpse to the residence of the ex-chairman of Oguta L.G A. They appealed to the government, to ensure that justice is served for the death of Kelechi.

An anonymous witness told some news respondents, that Operatives of the Ebubeagu security outfit, stormed the community and wanted to arrest a certain youth, when asked if they had a warrant from the police to do so, they fired shots into the air to boycott the question but ended killing Kelechi, in a bid to escape they injured two others.

“Ebubeagu operatives came to arrest a youth, but they were asked if the police were aware. They started shooting and in the process killed Kelechi Ogbonna. They injured others who have been hospitalized.”
