Rio Ferdinand has noted that five-time Balon D’or winner would leave Manchester United if Erik Ten Hag continues to bench him in further matches.
Ronaldo was benched in yesterday’s match with Southampton, in which Bruno Fernandes scored the only goal that gave United victory over Southampton. He was also benched in manchester United’s match against Liverpool which ended in a 2-1 win.
According to Ferdinand, for someone of that caliber to be benched, will get him upset as every Superstar wants to be in the spotlight
“He’ll be fuming 100 percent,” the former defender said on BT Sport about Ronaldo being benched.
“We’ve all worked with superstars before, we’ve seen players be dropped before, not in the starting eleven, and they don’t understand it.
No one understands Ronaldo’s future in Manchester United. The club has been picking up, as they won two of their games, there’s still hope that the club will get back on its feet, Ronaldo might just want to stay.
