Mohamed Salah’s season is over after a hamstring injury he got in Liverpool’s 3-1 Premier League win over Crystal Palace.
The 33-year-old winger had to be taken off in the 60th minute and then it was confirmed that he had a tear, according to the Egypt national team director, Ibrahim Hassan. This injury could put Salah out of action for around four weeks, which is basically the end of the line for his season.
Salah, who has made it clear that he is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, has probably played his last match for the club. His departure will mark the end of a fabulous nine-year period during which he became the club’s third-highest goalscorer of all time.

Liverpool have not yet issued an official medical statement, but it is the striker who will be missing very important matches, including the games against Manchester United, Chelsea, and Brentford.
Nevertheless, it is believed that Salah will be ready to compete at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, at which the Egypt national team will compete against Belgium, New Zealand and Iran in the group stage.
