Femi Adebayo’s cinematic thriller Seven Doors emerged as the most decorated title at the 2025 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, winning four major categories at the ceremony.
The 17th edition of the BON Awards took place at the National Theatre, Surulere, Lagos, where filmmakers and actors were celebrated for their achievements over the past year. The event was hosted by media personality VJ Adams and content creator Kiekie.
Seven Doors swept the technical categories, clinching awards for Best Production Design, Best Special Effects, Best Series, and Best Cinematography, reinforcing its reputation for strong visual storytelling and technical excellence.
Despite Seven Doors’ dominance, the biggest honours of the night went to Farmers Bride, which won both Movie of the Year and Director of the Year, cementing its status as one of the most critically acclaimed films of the year.
The ceremony also recognised outstanding contributions to Nollywood’s growth, with Steve Ayorinde, Funke Akindele, and Shaibu Husseini receiving Special Recognition Awards.
