World number one Jannik Sinner has done it again on the ATP Tour by easily overcoming Arthur Fils in two sets and making it to the final of the Madrid Open.
The 24-year-old from Italy increased his run of wins to 22 games as he absolutely outclassed his opponent 6-2, 6-4. With this win, Sinner has not only qualified for his first Madrid final but also got himself in position of a record-breaking fifth consecutive Masters title with just one win.

Should he win the title on Sunday, Sinner will rewrite history by going a step further than the legendary Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, who both had four straight Masters victories.
Additionally, he has come among the greats, Federer, Djokovic, and Nadal, by being the only player to have made finals of all nine Masters 1000 events.
Sinner’s opponent in the final is world number three Alexander Zverev, who scored a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Belgium’s Alexander Blockx to set up his fourth final in Madrid.
Zverev, who has won the trophy twice in the Spanish capital, will be trying to put an end to Sinner’s impressive run in what should be a fiercely contested match between two great players.
