Hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg is grieving the death of his 10-month-old granddaughter, Codi, after his daughter, Cori Broadus, shared the heartbreaking news on social media.
Cori posted a black-and-white photo of herself smiling while holding Codi and described the infant as the “love of my life,” revealing that she had passed away earlier in the week.
Born three months premature, Codi spent much of her short life in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), receiving critical medical care.
Despite the early struggles, Cori had recently shared hopeful updates, posting pictures and messages of gratitude and faith as Codi continued to fight. Only weeks before her passing, she had shared a photo of herself resting with her daughter, expressing thanks for signs of improvement.
In her latest post, she wrote, “Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” accompanied by an angel wing emoji.
Cori’s fiancé, Wayne Deuce, also honored Codi on Instagram, sharing photos of their time together. He wrote over one image, “I’ve been the saddest since u left me, Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you,” adding, “My baby.”
The Broadus family has received an outpouring of sympathy from fans and well-wishers as they mourn the loss of their youngest family member.
