The African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, had on Friday, January 20, heavily condemned the less than desirable sitting arrangement at the venue of the National Peace Committee meeting with presidential candidates in FCT Abuja.
The meeting which was held at Transcorp Hilton Abuja had also been attended by representatives of INEC and several Civil Society Organisations.
The presidential candidates at the event included; Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with his Vice Presidential Candidate, Kashim Shettima; Ifeanyi Okowa, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adewole Adebayo, Social Democratic Party (SDP) , Hamza Al-Mustapha, Action Alliance (AA), to mention a few.
According to Sowore, his criticisms had begun when he noticed that there was preferential treatment in the sitting arrangement as the APC and PDP presidential candidates had seats reserves for them in the front row while the other candidates including him were asked to sit at the back of the hall.
Sowore, who was not happy with the bias, had then raised objection as he criticized the organisers of the event to desist from giving undue preferential treatment to certain candidates while also demanding that presidential candidates be allowed to sit based on the alphabetical order of the political parties.
He then ended his tirade by saying that no political party or candidate was bigger than the others and that they all had equal status and rights before the law.
