Sepp Blatter, ex-FIFA President has expressed his disappointment over Nigeria’s Failure to qualify for the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana defeated Nigeria to qualify for the World Cup Game. Several Nigerians have expressed their displeasure over the Super eagles’ inability to qualify for the world cup tournament.

And in a telephone chat with popular Nigerian journalist, Osasu Obayiuwana, Blatter expressed his disappointment that the Eagles failed to qualify.

According to Blatter, he’s not happy that Nigeria could but make it to the world cup this year, considering how big Nigeria is, its absence in the world cup tournament is being felt.

“I have to tell you that I am very disappointed that the Super Eagles are not at the Qatar 2022 World Cup,” Blatter said.

“How can a big country like Nigeria not be in Qatar? It is a very big absence. I am not happy at all about this.”

Morocco is the only African country this year, to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament, after Defeating 2010 world cup winners, Spain in the Round 16 of the world cup, and also the very first African country, to reach the semi-finals of the world cup after Defeating Portugal 1-0.
