The summer transfer window is now officially open, and it hasn’t taken long for the rumours and confirmed deals to flood in. Liverpool have emerged as early headline-makers, reportedly preparing a British-record bid of £120 million to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

The Reds have also rejected a €70 million opening offer from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz, with the Colombian said to be interested in the move.

Elsewhere in Merseyside, Everton confirmed the signing of Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Mark Travers from Bournemouth, while across London, Brentford announced the arrival of veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson on a free transfer.

Ajax also bolstered their squad with the signing of Spanish winger Raul Moro from Real Valladolid for €12 million, following his standout U21 Euros campaign.

In La Liga, Barcelona landed teenage sensation Roony Bardghji from Copenhagen for €2 million and sold Pablo Torre to Mallorca for €5 million, with a buy-back clause.

Real Madrid activated the €50 million release clause of Spanish defender Alvaro Carreras, while Luka Modric completed a surprising free transfer to AC Milan.

There’s growing speculation around Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has refused to report for pre-season training amid reported interest from Galatasaray.

Arsenal, meanwhile, continue their aggressive recruitment drive, sealing a €20 million deal for Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera and reportedly agreeing a package worth up to €73.5 million for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Other significant news have been the reports of Roberto Firmino almost finalizing a transfer to Al Sadd, and West Ham being on the verge of signing Slavia Prague defender El Hadji Malick Diouf.

As there is still a lot of time before the deadline, get ready for some more excitement while top clubs in Europe are still assembling their teams.
