On Friday, troops from Operation Forest Sanity conducted clearance operations at various terrorist camps in forest regions adjacent to Damba, Tudun Quardo, Tsibri, Gwagwada, and Bwashishi villages in Kaduna State’s Chikum local government area.
According to Major General Musa Danmadami, the director of defense media operations, troops came into touch with the terrorists during the operation and engaged them in a battle, causing the terrorists to flee into dense jungle.
He stated that the forces took advantage of the situation and destroyed many terrorist camps in the area, as well as neutralizing one terrorist and recovering two AK-47 rifles and other weaponry.
