Libyan authorities detained two Americans for reportedly attempting to convert Muslims in the country to Christianity.
The officials have not named either. Both are said to have worked at the same private language school in Tripoli.
One of the guys is accused of working as a missionary for the Assemblies of God, which is situated in Arkansas, USA.
Two Libyans were also detained on similar grounds. Libya’s official religion is Islam.
While Christians are permitted to worship there, attempts to convert Muslims to other faiths are prohibited.
