U.S. Embassies in Nigeria to Close for Presidents’ Day

The U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the Consulate General in Lagos will be temporarily closed on Monday, February 17, 2025, in observance of Presidents’ Day, a U.S. federal holiday. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. The missions announced this closure stating, “The U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the Consulate General in Lagos will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025, in observance of Presidents’ Day. We will resume normal operations on Tuesday, 18 February 2025.”
