United Bank for Africa (UBA) has begun full banking services in France as of November 30, 2024. This important step was made possible by a special business agreement signed by UBA Group Chairman Tony Elumelu and French Finance Minister Antoine Armand.
The agreement was facilitated during President Bola Tinubu’s trip to France, which was an important move to improve economic and diplomatic connections between the two countries. As a result, UBA is now one of the top banks in Nigeria with a branch in France.
UBA’s move into France is considered a logical step, with Paris acting as the bank’s main center in the European Union. This expansion is expected to improve smooth international banking services for UBA’s customers in Africa, France, and Europe.
