A presenter’s on-air fainting forced the cancellation of the most recent Tory leadership discussion between Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss.
A huge crash was reported midway through the debate between the Sun and TalkTV, which was moderated by journalist Kate McCann.
Even though TalkTV claimed McCann was “fine,” the network was advised not to continue airing the interview by a doctor.
The broadcasting company also apologized to their listeners and viewers.
The leadership contenders tweeted their relief at McCann’s well-being and their willingness to hold a rematch.
The TalkTV anchor had been scheduled to co-host the debate with Harry Cole, the political editor of The Sun, but he withdrew after testing positive for Covid.
The most recent televised debate between the two candidates was interrupted while discussing taxes, the status of the NHS, and growing living expenses.
When the debate went off the air, they were only starting to discuss how the UK supports Ukraine.
