The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has denied any involvement in the alleged disappearance of ₦180 million from the account of social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, Josephine Adeh, in a statement on Saturday said, “The FCT Police Command is not aware of any case involving VDM’s missing funds and is not conducting any investigation into it. The individual should clarify where the matter was reported”.
VDM had, in a viral video, alleged that a fraud of ₦180 million was transferred out of his NGO’s account, leaving only ₦20 million. He claimed a suspect had been apprehended, but the public skepticism keeps growing as to the veracity of what he has said.
Efforts to reach the national police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, for further comments were unsuccessful, thus leaving the public with many questions in this unfolding drama.
