Christopher Danjuma, the head coach of the super Falconets has disclosed the reason why his team won the match against South Korea in the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
The saving goal was scored by Esther Onyenezide in the 83rd minute to the end of the match. Danjuma is obviously impressed with the performance of the girls. According to him, the football game is all about tactics, and what they did is to block all the tactics of the South Korean team to prevent them from scoring.
And reacting to the win against the Koreans Danjuma, in a video clip published on the Super Falcons Twitter handle: “Football is about building your tactics as it suits you”. Playing against the Korean team, if they find space they run and there are certain areas in the field they use to make an incursion into your box.”
“So what we did was to make sure they didn’t come through that area and thank God it helped us.“
Falconets are to face Canada in their last fixtures, speaking on this, Danjuma has said that they see every game as important and do not take any for granted, they are to play the next match with enough preparedness.
“And speaking ahead of the game, Danjuma said:” We will approach every match one based on the importance of that match and the opponent we are playing.“
