Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor, has generated uproar with his most recent relationship advice, encouraging couples whose marriages are no longer working to leave rather than endure violence or dangerous situations.

On Friday, the controversial actor responded to a terrible Instagram video of a woman being horribly burned by her spouse.

He expressed his views on marriage, stressing that it should never be seen as a do-or-die affair, especially when it is no longer working.

He wrote, “If your marriage is not working, let go. Let go, walk away.
I saw the video of the lady that was
burnt by her husband & it broke my
heart.

“Those having marital issues, listen up: Even if you catch your wife with another man, there’s no justification for harming her.

“If you catch your husband with another woman, there can be no justification for harming him.
Don’t kill another human being because of marriage.
Marriage is not do or die. Walk away.”

Although some appreciated his advice, others highlighted the irony, noting that Yul himself faced backlash for his infidelity and his relationship with Judy Austin while still married to May Edochie.
