Yvonne Jegede in Mourning After Child’s Cholera Death

Nollywood actress and producer Yvonne Jegede has announced the heartbreaking loss of one of her children to cholera. Sharing the news on her Instagram page, Jegede revealed she has been financially supporting three children on her own.

Tragically, one of them, Olamide, succumbed to cholera just before he was set to start JS3 after the summer break.Jegede recalled meeting Olamide when he was in Primary 4. She shared that the two other children, including Olamide’s sister, recently graduated from secondary school. Despite her financial challenges, Jegede expressed that supporting these children gives her life meaning. She credits her faith, stating that since 2019, God has provided the means to support them.

“I’m heartbroken because I lost one of my children to cholera. Olamide and I met when he was in primary 4 and was supposed to go to JSS3 after this summer break. The news broke my heart. I am also happy 2 of my children graduated yesterday from secondary school, and one of them is Olamide’s sister. I don’t have all the money in the world, but this makes my world complete. Since 2019 till date, I don’t know how I do it, but my God provides enough to carry them through.

A few weeks ago, Yvonne Jegede disclosed that her father was battling a stroke. She shared this news on her Instagram page, posting a video of her emotional visit to him at the hospital. Jegede explained that it had been a terrible time for her and her family, having lost two family members in a month and experiencing other scares, yet she continued to smile.

In response, many people reached out with messages of support, assuring her that everything would be alright and that God would bless her. They praised her resilience and expressed that the world needs more people like her.
