The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has announced that it will be arresting the Zamfara State governor, Bello Matawalle, for a reported N70billion fraud immediately after he hands over the governorship position on May 29 when he is no longer protected by the constitutional immunity.
The EFCC is at present, probing Matawalle and Governor Matawalle himself has accused the EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, of being corrupt, suggesting that Bawa should additionally surrender himself for investigation as he and several eminent Nigerians have evidence to substantiate Bawa’s corrupt practices and abuse of office.
