At least 11 people have been reportedly killed in a road accident involving a luxury bus, aka Marco Polo, and a truck in Ore, Ondo State on Sunday morning, January 28.
According to eyewitness reports, the two vehicles had collided because one of their drivers had been driving recklessly. In a video shared online, the unfortunate victims could be seen burnt beyond recognition as the vehicles involved caught fire.
Meanwhile, the Ondo Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Ezekiel Son’Allah, has confirmed the incident, saying that the accident occurred as a result of excessive speeding on the part of the drivers of both vehicles involved.
