The death toll in a tragic bus accident which occurred close to the southern Malian town of Kenieba on Tuesday has climbed to 40, according to the Burkina Faso government in a statement it released on Thursday, adding that its citizens were among the dead.
Recall that Mali’s transport ministry had on Tuesday said that at least 31 people were killed when a bus bound for Burkina Faso unfortunately plummeted off a bridge over a river.
It seems that the deaths are mounting since news broke out of the unfortunate accident.
