Arsenal has secured England winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea through an initial £48.5 million agreement with additional payment possibilities. The 23-year-old player secured a five-year deal with Arsenal which makes him their fourth summer transfer.
The 23-year-old forward joined Mikel Arteta’s team after demonstrating his talent at PSV and Chelsea where he scored 19 goals and assisted seven times across 92 matches. Madueke delivered 15 goal contributions during the 2024–25 season. The 23-year-old standout player achieved 45 completed dribbles at Chelsea last season which placed him second behind Cole Palmer while ranking fifth in chance creation among the Blues with 32.
The Stamford Bridge player left Chelsea after the team acquired Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap during their recent attacking player additions. Madueke left the club after assisting them in securing both the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup championships.
Madueke posted a heartfelt goodbye on Instagram before the transfer became official to show appreciation for Chelsea staff members and teammates and supporters as he exits with positive feelings.
The English international Madueke began representing his country in September 2024 and now joins Arsenal to play alongside three new arrivals Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga. Arsenal continues their Premier League championship pursuit by targeting Viktor Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera in addition to their existing signings.
