A pregnant woman and her teenage daughter have been abducted at Akilibu village along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.
The incident occurred at about 8:30 pm on Saturday, November 5. The bandits, according to reports had gone straight to their victims’ houses to abduct them.
The bandits had then stormed the house with the sole intention of kidnapping the woman’s husband but he was not at home at the time of their arrival.
A neighbor who had spoken to reporters on grounds of anonymity had given the pregnant housewife’s name as Adam and reported that the woman had been abducted together with her 4 kids, however, the bandits had changed their minds and released three of the children.
Residents had said that they all mistook the bandits for security men since soldiers and police usually frequent the village on patrol.
The State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Mohammed Jalige who has already been contacted is yet to confirm/ give a statement to this report.
