Bandits have killed an agricultural businessman identified as Tukur Makeri and abducted several others in Bakiyawa community, Batagarawa LGA, Katsina State.
According to reports, the bandits had raided the community on Wednesday night, September 14, injuring four individuals, broke into homes, and pilfered items from several shops during the operation that lasted for at least three hours.
Marwan Zayanna, a resident of the community remarked that the gunmen stormed the community riding on at least 40 motorcycles, shooting sporadically, causing residents of the Bakiyawa community to run and seek safety. Marwan has additionally revealed that four of the victims injured by the terrorists are currently receiving treatment at the Katsina Teaching hospital.
