Carlo Ancelotti, head coach of UEFA super cup champions, Real Madrid has said that Benzema should win this year’s Balon D’or award. Following their win in the UEFA super cup yesterday, Ancelotti described Benzema “as the most efficient player”.

Benzema netted the second goal into the net, in the 65minute. According to Ancelotti, Benzema is one of the reasons they won the UEFA super cup for the fourth time, as he scored a lot of goals. He went further to ask who deserves the Balon D’or title apart from Benzema.

“Benzema is a leader. If we’re here, it’s partly because of him. He scored a lot of goals.

“Now for the Ballon d’Or… Are there any doubts? I don’t think anyone has doubts about that.

For us he’s the most important player, he’s the most efficient player in the world at this moment.

“He was important to win the Champions League. He didn’t score in the final but with his goals, we played the final.

“He scored against [Manchester] City, against Chelsea, against Paris [Saint-Germain]. He’s so important for us, there’s no doubt that at this moment he’s the best,”

Ancelotti told Movistar.

Talking about world-class Players, Karim Benzema must be on the list. He’s seen as one of the best Strikers in the world. So do you think that this year’s Balon D’or title should go to Benzema?
