American President Joe Biden had yesterday urged all eligible Nigerians to go out and vote for their preferred candidates on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
The presidential and National Assembly elections will be held tomorrow.
In a statement he made to Nigerians ahead of the polls, Biden had said:
“On election day, I encourage all Nigerians, irrespective of their religion, region, or ethnicity, to exercise their fundamental freedom and make their voices heard, including young voters, many of whom may be heading to the ballot box for the very first time.”
“While the United States does not support any candidate or party, we strongly support a peaceful and transparent process that reflects the will of the citizens of Nigeria,” Biden said.
President Biden had additionally expressed happiness that the political parties and candidates running in the presidential election had signed a peace accord.
