Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has shared a promising update about Adeola, the daughter of veteran film star Jumoke George, who has been missing for the past four years.
In a recent Instagram post, Biola announced that Adeola has been located in Mali, where she is currently working. Despite being found, there has been no direct communication between Adeola and her mother, which has left the family deeply worried.
Biola wrote:
“UPDATE! Adeola has been spotted in Mali. Though she hasn’t spoken with her mom yet, please tell her to call her. She’s currently in the hospital, but she will be happy to speak with her at least. I’ve tried calling her, but she has not been picking up anyone’s calls, and her mom is really worried.”
The search for Adeola was carried out with the help of the Child Rights Campaign (CRC), an organization that successfully traced her after years of silence. It was revealed that she had left Nigeria to pursue better opportunities abroad but lost contact with her family along the way.
Jumoke George, who has been enduring personal hardships for several years, disclosed that she became homeless after being evicted due to unpaid rent. Since then, she has been living in a church, where she receives assistance from the church’s matriarch.
In a heartfelt conversation with Biola, the veteran actress shared that her daughter had briefly mentioned traveling abroad before vanishing. Since then, Jumoke has taken full responsibility for caring for Adeola’s children, despite her own financial and health challenges.
Currently receiving treatment in a Lagos hospital, Jumoke is reportedly anxious to reconnect with her daughter. The development has sparked hope among fans and industry colleagues, who continue to show support for the family.
