The U.S vice president’s The Harris-Walz campaign has announced on Thursday, October 31 that rappers Cardi B and Glorilla will be making an appearance to support the Democratic ticket during the When We Vote We Win event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Friday, November 1.
The Grammy-winning rapper will make a speech during the event, while Glorilla will perform for the audience. This won’t be the first time that Cardi and Glorilla will share the stage as in 2022, the two artists delivered the first television performance during the American Music Awards.
Friday’s rally is part of the series of events the Harris-Walz campaign is holding nationwide to help rally voters to register to vote and cast their ballots for the November 5 presidential election.
Already, Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child bandmate, Kelly Rowland had made headlines when they made an appearance at the Houston rally on October 25, with the pop superstar giving her full support to Harris in a passionate speech as she introduced the vice president.
For Cardi B, she has long supported the current VP’s run for the 2024 presidential election.
On June 30, she suggested that President Joe Biden should drop out of the race and let his VP run instead — which he did on July 21.
Since Harris officially announced her intentions for the presidential seat, the rapper and mum of three has continued to support the former senator, even going as far as to defend the politician from sexist attacks.
GloRilla recently shared her support for the sitting Vice President in a video posted to her official social media account, offering four reasons why she believes the Democratic ticket should earn people’s votes.
Among the reasons she shared were the words; “a woman’s right to choose and “protect the LGBTQIA+ community.”
