The All-Progressive Congress presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, November 2, had announced it was disrespectful to say the name of the deputy governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Lagos, Funke Akindele, in his presence.
Funke Akindele is a famous Nigerian actor turned politician.
Bola Tinubu had made this known during a political outing yesterday, where his supporters had sung a campaign song, mocking Funke Akindele as a political ‘ant’ as compared to the incumbent governor of Lagos and APC candidate in the 2023 election, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Tinubu had cautioned his supporters against saying Akindele’s name in his presence, explaining that it was both disrespectful and an insult.
At the time of writing this report, Neither Akindele nor The PDP party has responded to Tinubu or his party, The APC.
