The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN has just ordered commercial banks in the country to begin paying the new naira notes to customers over-the-counter in the banking halls.
This recent development was just confirmed in a statement on Thursday, 2 February by the bank’s Director of Corporate Communications, Osita Nwanisobi.
The apex bank had therefore assured Nigerians that the queues at Automated Teller Machine, ATMs stands will expire soon while ordering banks to pay new notes over-the-counter, which had previously been declared illegal.
