On Thursday, the Central Bank of Nigeria distanced itself from a fake employment portal ostensibly recruiting for the bankers’ bank.
While emphasizing that it was not presently recruiting, the top bank warned Nigerians not to fall prey to the scammers behind the recruitment.
The CBN made the explanation in a statement issued on Thursday and signed by Isa AbdulMumin, Acting Director, CBN Corporate Communications.
According to AdbdulMumin, there are numerous imposters out there taking advantage of the employment crisis to swindle qualified applicants, particularly recent grads.
The CBN is not currently conducting any general recruitment exercises and will never solicit BVNs from prospective applicants or discriminate against people with physical limitations.
