American rapper Fat Joe has shared his thoughts on Chris Brown’s career.
According to him, Chris Brown’s career would have rivalled Michael Jackson’s if not for the uproar surrounding his 2009 violent assault on Rihanna.
On his podcast, “The Biggest Fat Joe,” he praised Brown as the greatest talented vocalist, artist, performer, and hitmaker of their generation, unrivalled by anybody else.
Fat Joe believes it is time to put the past behind them and acknowledge Chris Brown’s outstanding skill, conferring upon him the title of “King of R&B.”
What they’re saying
He stated, “If Chris Brown had never gotten into the controversy with Rihanna, we would be calling him Michael Jackson right now.” He is the most gifted vocalist, artist, performer, and songwriter of our time. Nobody even comes close to Chris Brown.
“And it’s time to move on [from his feud with Rihanna]. It has been more than 20 years, and there has been no similar event against him. What I’m trying to convey is that it’s unfortunate that we’re lying and not handing it over to the King of R&B.”
Bottom Line
In Fat Joe’s view, it’s unfortunate that the shadow of past events continues to overshadow Brown’s artistic achievements. He advocates for recognizing Brown’s musical talent and perhaps reevaluating his legacy in a more positive light, suggesting that Brown deserves recognition as the “King of R&B.”
