Chelsea starlet Cole Palmer won the EA SPORTS Premier League Player of the Month for September 2024, for the second time in his career.

The 22-year-old Palmer was in electrifying form throughout September, netting five times and laying one assist across just four matches. The standout performance came in Chelsea’s emphatic 6-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion, with him going into the history books of the Premier League with four goals in the first half, completing his haul in just 21 minutes.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino saluted Palmer’s maturity and poise: “He’s shown a finishing ability and understanding of the game well beyond his years.”

That wasn’t his only contribution to Chelsea, though, as he also contributed an assist to Chelsea’s draw with Crystal Palace 1-1 and found the net in the 3-0 win against West Ham United. It was evident by his consistency that Palmer would once again earn the Player of the Month nod for the second time, following a similar win the previous month in April 2024.

Chelsea celebrated the accolade on social media, writing: “It had to be him. Cole Palmer is the Premier League Player of the Month for September.” Now Palmer will look to keep his hot streak alive as Chelsea is set to take on Liverpool at Anfield later this month.
