In an official statement released by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Peter Afunanya, on Saturday, the Department of State Services (DSS) has officially confirmed that Mr. Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is now in their custody for the purpose of conducting investigations.
The news comes just hours after the DSS denied that Emefiele was in its custody.
The DSS also urged the public, especially the media, to exercise utmost caution and responsibility in reporting and presenting narratives related to this development.
