Olusegun Obasanjo who ruled Nigeria as its president from 1999 to 2007 celebrated his 86th birthday today.
Obasanjo has been at the helm of affairs both during the military era and the Democratic era, Obasanjo was Nigeria’s head of state from 1976- 1979 after Muritala Muhammed was killed in an unsuccessful coup plotted by Colonel Dimka.
He tweeted, “86 years of God’s faithfulness. Happy birthday to a man of valour, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.”
