Foods You Should Eat if You’re Trying to get Pregnant

There’s indeed no magic food that’ll Make you pregnant once eaten but there are various foods that have been proven to improve fertility in females.

Such foods include: 

Beans and other legumes: Too bad if you’re part of the ‘i-don’t-like-beans’ crew. Beans are very high in fiber and protein which can help improve ovulation. Being a legume, beans have a good source of folic acid which is very important in aiding conception and early embryo development.

Therefore Say YES to beans!

Avocado: Avocado is known for its many nutritional benefits, turns out boosting fertility is one of them. It has a high content of Viitamin K and potassium which combined assist the body with vitamin absorption, blood pressure regulation and many other things.

It also contains folic acid which is crutial in the early stages of pregnancy

Milk, Greek yougourt and Cheese: These are fatty foods and fatty foods are great for boosing fertility. Milk, Greek yougourt and Cheese contain vitamin D and calcium which help improve ovulation.

Egg yolk: If you’ve been avoiding eating egg yolks in order to cut calories, you need to stop because eggyolks contain vitamin B and essential omega-3s. They also contain folic acid which helps the body create red blood cells and help to maintain embryo development after conception.

Leafy Green vegetables: Vegetables like spinach and ‘ugu’ are great sources of calcium, vitamin C, folate and potassium.

Oranges and Berries: Oranges and berries like strawberries and blueberries are packed with vitamin C, potassium and calcium which contribute to smooth functioning of the reproductive system.

Fortified Cereals: Look for fortified breakfast cereals made from whole grains and fortified with iron and folic acid. The whole grains are good sources of fibre which reduces significantly your risk of gestational diabetes.

Adding these foods to your diet will increaes your chances of conception.
