One Ganiyu Kehinde, an Osun State based herbalist in Oba-Oke was recently arrested for the murder of one Emmanuel Collins.
The subtle evidence presented in the story indicates that Kehinde committed the crime with the intention of getting human parts for money rituals. This was as part of operations that the Osun State police undertook in which it paraded several suspects for various offences in Osogbo their command headquarters on Friday.
The press release stated that the case was initially reported at Oke-Odo Division in Osogbo by the victim’s representative Osun Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola. From the report it was established that Collins, aged 35 years from Ghana was attacked and killed by an unknown person. Police detectives began an investigation of the case and in the process of conducting their intelligence, Kehinde was arrested because he was a friend to the deceased.
A major revelation was made by Kehinde in which he stated that the crime was committed and described it in details as follows: On July 9, 2024, at around 9:00 pm, he decided to go to Collins’ residence with a kitchen knife intending to harm.
He came upon Collins asleep and, seeing an opportunity to eliminate his partner in crime, killed him and cut off his throat. He then dried the throat for three days and took it to Igbo Imese Aiwosi Area of Oba-Oke village. There, he burnt the throat in a clay pot with ritual materials and powdered it down with a Spoon, then mixed it with soap to produce a money ritual substance now called OSOLE.
When questioned by the police Kehinde stated that he had cut off the private part himself and had earlier produced four similar ‘ritual soaps’ for four Yahoo boys. He alleged that he was compelled to do it due to what he described as force majeure and that the devil compelled him to kill the person.
The police are still investigating the case, and the young man, Kehinde, will be taken to court as soon as something new is found out.
