Reports have come in, indicating that President Muhammdu Buhari has given the go-ahead on the suspension of Hudu Ari, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, who made the false declaration on the Adamawa Governorship elections where he named Aisha Dahiru as the winner.
According to the report, Ari’s false and illegal declaration threw the electoral zone in confusion until a statement from the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, arrived to nullify the announcement. INEC has since gone ahead to declare Ahmadu Fintiri the true winner of the election and recommend the suspension and investigation of Mr. Ari, the latter part of which was just approved by the president.
