I Am Ready to be Captain- Martin Odegard

Martin Odegard a Norwegian player and Midfielder for Arsenal has declared that he is ready to take up the role of captain ahead of the 2022/23 season for Arsenal. At the last preseason game with Chelsea, Odegard performed incredibly as he scored the goals which gave the team a massive victory over Chelsea.

Fans consider Odeegard as the best person to pick up the captain’s armband since Alexandra Lecazette and Pierre Emerick have departed from the team already. Odegard revealed in an interview that he loves responsibility, as he is already the captain of his national team and if Arteta asked him to take up the position he will gladly do it

“It’s not something I think about. I think about the future, and to make that as good as possible, so we’ll see what happens”.

“I always enjoy responsibility. I’m a captain for my country (Norway) and it’s a nice experience, so I enjoy that,” Odegaard said.

“I don’t know anything about the situation here, I think that question is for Mikel (Arteta) and the club but if he asked me of course I would”

Fans have praised the team for their fantastic performance at the friendly game between Arsenal and Chelsea, as Arsenal thrashed Chelsea a fantastic 4-0. This is an indicator that they are well prepared for the Premier League.
