The just concluded FIFA 2022 world cup game didn’t end well for the Netherlands as they crashed out of the quarterfinals after losing to 2022 world cup winners Argentina.
The Netherlands pulled a massive comeback in the game as they equalized 2-2, the game pushed on to extra time and then to Penalties, Virgil Van Dijk missed the first Penalty which led to Argentina winning the game on a 4-3 basis.
Virgil has finally broken his silence as regards their failure, according to him, he could not sleep for two days after the game, as it hurts a lot seeing that he caused their loss.
“I couldn’t sleep for two days after that game.
“You’re so close after going 2-0 down. Unfortunately, you miss an important shot. It hurts a lot.”
