The Presidential Elections were not hitch-free, there were several issues with the election, INEC officials did not get to some areas on time, the BVAS was faulty and could not identify some people, and some ballot papers did not contain the logos of some parties. Due to all these issues, INEC promised a better election on Saturday.
The Gubernatorial elections and State Assembly elections are just some days away, and since INEC has promised that all the hassle which plagued the presidential election will not be repeated, the distribution of sensitive materials has started in Kano state.
In Kano state, on Wednesday the Independent National Electoral Commission started distributing sensitive materials to the State’s local government areas.
These materials which are being kept in the Central Bank of Nigeria are being distributed to ensure that the materials get to every Local Government before Saturday’s elections.
Nigerians have never been more enthusiastic about elections as this year’s elections changed the whole narrative, we saw how the youths were so involved in the electoral process, and this is something to be celebrated.
