The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had on Friday, May 12 published the personal particulars of candidates and their running mates who had all been nominated by 17 political parties for the Bayelsa State Governorship election. These particulars were published in its State headquarters in Yenagoa, the state’s capital.
INEC has meanwhile stated that the publication of the particulars of the candidates and their running mates was following Section 29(3) of the Electoral Act 2022.
The election for the next governor of Bayelsa State is slated to hold on November 11, 2023.
